Meet Georgia’s Next Leaders

In this TED®-like event, learn from the young movers and shakers who bring audacity, vision, and hope to their communities.

Your Support: Georgia’s Next Leaders supports young adults aged 16-40. The program empowers young leaders to make positive change in their communities. The  leadership training program covers:

  • Community Advocacy: Comprehensive skills training to champion local causes.
  • Board of Election 101: A deep dive into electoral processes and governance.
  • Fundraising Strategies: Discover multiple ways to secure financial support
  • Campaign Operations: Learn the nuts and bolts of running successful political campaigns.

Tyler Lee

Young Democrats of Georgia

Known in political circles as Tyler the Campaigner, 18-year-old Tyler Lee is a gun violence prevention advocate and a senior at Peachtree Ridge High School.

Tyler was invited to speak and introduce husband of Kamala Harris, Doug Emhoff at a get-out-the-vote rally in Atlanta, two days ahead of Election Day

Maya Davis

President, Young Dems of Clayton County

Maya Davis is a dynamic leader and dedicated public servant. She currently serves as the President of the Clayton County Young Democrats, where she mobilizes youth to participate in the electoral process and advocates for progressive issues. Maya is also a Master of Public Administration (MPA) student at Georgia State University, expected to graduate in 2026.  She graduated cum laude from Xavier University, demonstrating her academic excellence and commitment to her studies. In her professional career, Maya works as an Assistant Field Director at Working America, where she engages with communities to empower and advocate for workers’ rights. Her diverse experiences and accomplishments reflect her passion for public service and community engagement.

Nancy Howard

Vice Chair of the Clayton County Democratic Party

Nancy Howard currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Clayton County Democratic Party, where she plays a pivotal role in shaping local political strategies and initiatives. Nancy obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Purdue University, in 2024, furthering her expertise in public service. As a member of the Forest Park Downtown Development Authority, she contributes to the economic growth and revitalization of her community. Additionally, Nancy is the Event Coordinator for Victory in Christ Ministries, where she organizes and manages events that bring people together and foster a sense of community. Her diverse experiences and accomplishments reflect her commitment to public service and community engagement.

Davante Jennings

President of Young Dems of GA

Davante Jennings is a passionate and influential leader in the political and social spheres. As the President of the Georgia Young Democrats, he plays a pivotal role in mobilizing young voters and advocating for progressive policies. In addition to his political work, Davan’te serves as the Youth Organizing Director for Men4Choice, where he empowers young men to support reproductive rights and gender equality. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Davan’te is a devoted father and husband, balancing his family life with his commitment to making a positive impact in his community.

Christy Lam

Young Democrats at Georgia State University

Christy Lam is a dedicated and accomplished communications professional. She currently serves as the Gloria Butler Social Media Fellow for the Georgia Senate Democrats, where she plays a crucial role in shaping and disseminating the party’s message.

Christy was previously the Communications Director for the Young Democrats of Georgia and is currently in that role for Young Dems at GSU, demonstrating her leadership and commitment to engaging young voters.

As a member of the Young Democrats Asian American, Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Caucus, she advocates for the representation and inclusion of diverse voices in the political process.

Christy is set to graduate from Georgia State University in 2026, furthering her education and expanding her impact in the fields of communication and public service.

 

Davis Green

Deputy Chief of Staff for State Rep & VP DeKalb Young Dems

Davis Green is a dedicated and influential figure in the political landscape. He currently serves as the Deputy Chief of Staff for State Representative Jasmine Clark, where he plays a crucial role in legislative affairs and community outreach. Davis is also the Vice President of the DeKalb Young Democrats, demonstrating his commitment to engaging and empowering young voters. He obtained his Juris Master (JM) degree at Emory Law in 2024, furthering his expertise in law and public policy.
