Elections 101

Georgia’s Next Leaders training encompasses community advocacy, electoral processes and governance, fundraising strategies, and the fundamentals of running successful political campaigns.

Campaign Toolkit

Hit the ground running with a website, video messages, radio spots, press releases, and more. We work with marketing professionals who can brings a wealth of marketing experience to your campaign.

Kickstart Funding

We train candidates on how to identify funding sources, including politicians, organizations, friends, family, and angel investors. We also support deploying conventional fundraising activities via social media, events, and more.

Political Mentoring

Whether you need a sounding board or a friend in your corner, we draw from our political veterans to support your campaign via Zoom, messaging, and mentoring events

Meet Our Next Gen Leaders

Maya Davis

President, Young Dems of Clayton County

Maya Davis is a dynamic leader and dedicated public servant. She currently serves as the President of the Clayton County Young Democrats, where she mobilizes youth to participate in the electoral process and advocates for progressive issues. Maya is also a Master of Public Administration (MPA) student at Georgia State University, expected to graduate in 2026.  She graduated cum laude from Xavier University, demonstrating her academic excellence and commitment to her studies. In her professional career, Maya works as an Assistant Field Director at Working America, where she engages with communities to empower and advocate for workers’ rights. Her diverse experiences and accomplishments reflect her passion for public service and community engagement.

Charelle Garrell

Candidate: Clayton County Board of Education

Charelle Garell is the youngest candidate to run for the Clayton County Board of Education.

She holds positions within the Clayton County Young Democrats as Vice President of Membership and also serves as Secretary of the Black Caucus of the Young Democrats of Georgia.

Charelle attends school at Western Governors University and works full-time. At nearly every local, county, state, or federal event, you can look up and see Charelle Garell in the crowd.

Christy Lam

Young Democrats at Georgia State University

Christy Lam is a dedicated and accomplished communications professional. She currently serves as the Gloria Butler Social Media Fellow for the Georgia Senate Democrats, where she plays a crucial role in shaping and disseminating the party’s message.

Christy was previously the Communications Director for the Young Democrats of Georgia and is currently in that role for Young Dems at GSU, demonstrating her leadership and commitment to engaging young voters.

As a member of the Young Democrats Asian American, Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Caucus, she advocates for the representation and inclusion of diverse voices in the political process.

Christy is set to graduate from Georgia State University in 2026, furthering her education and expanding her impact in the fields of communication and public service.

 

Davis Green

Deputy Chief of Staff for State Rep & VP DeKalb Young Dems

Davis Green is a dedicated and influential figure in the political landscape. He currently serves as the Deputy Chief of Staff for State Representative Jasmine Clark, where he plays a crucial role in legislative affairs and community outreach. Davis is also the Vice President of the DeKalb Young Democrats, demonstrating his commitment to engaging and empowering young voters. He obtained his Juris Master (JM) degree at Emory Law in 2024, furthering his expertise in law and public policy.
