Board of Election 101
A deep dive into electoral processes and governance.
Session 2: Understanding Electoral Processes
This session focuses on the legal and procedural aspects of Georgia’s election system. Participants delve into candidate filing requirements, voter registration laws, key deadlines, and ethical compliance. Hands-on activities include a mock filing exercise, Q&A with election officials, and group research on local election board practices.

Fundraising Strategies

Session 3: Securing Financial Support
Participants are introduced to the fundamentals of campaign fundraising, including donor outreach, event planning, and financial reporting. Practical activities include developing a fundraising pitch and designing a campaign budget.

Learn the nuts and bolts of successful political campaigns.
Session 1: Championing Local Causes
Focusing on the nuts and bolts of running for office, this session covers campaign strategy, voter outreach, team management, social media outreach, and Get-Out-The-Vote (GOTV) efforts. Participants engage in simulations, mock debates, and campaign team role-playing to develop strategic leadership and communication skills

Maintain emotional equilibrium amid the pressure of a campaign.
Session 5: Mental Health
This session focuses on practical strategies for maintaining mental well-being during a campaign. Participants learn techniques for managing stress, setting boundaries, and maintaining work-life balance, including mindfulness, deep breathing, and physical activity. The session also emphasizes the importance of support systems, delegation, and seeking professional help when needed. Through role-playing and group discussions, participants practice recognizing stress triggers and implementing self-care strategies, ensuring they can lead effectively without burnout.

Statesmanship
Learn the principles of good governance and building relations.
Session 6: Statesmanship
This session focuses on the core principles of statesmanship, emphasizing ethical leadership, diplomacy, and effective governance. Participants learn how to build trust, navigate difficult decisions, and prioritize the public good over personal or partisan interests. Through case studies and role-playing exercises, participants develop skills in conflict resolution, unifying diverse groups, and fostering long-term vision. By the end of the session, participants will be equipped to lead with integrity, make thoughtful decisions, and inspire confidence in their leadership.
